What is a Project?

It really depends on context - how do YOU define a project?

A project in CorePlan can be a mine site, or group of closely located prospects within the same area or boundary areas for exploration, development. It serves as a dedicated space for various drilling activities like exploration, resource definition, grade control, and more. You can choose to manage these activities either separately for each project or combine multiple workstreams under one project, dependant on team or budget areas.

For Exploration in the early stage, most companies bundle the different exploration areas as drill programs under one project - as long as it's the same team overseeing it, in the same region and if it makes sense according to budget allocations. A project can house various drilling programs across that span various programmes throughout the year.
For Resource Development there may be multiple projects even though it is in the same region/area, and the teams and budgets might be same.
At a Mine site you may wish to have multiple projects depending on team function, such as surface vs underground, or grade control vs satellite drilling.

What is a Drill Program?

A drill program is a collection of planned drill holes across a budget, covering multiple tenements or workstreams. These programs can be part of a larger project. Drill programs detail the drilling work needed to explore and identify mineral resources at a site. As a company, you can organise your site activities by grouping your projects under drill programs, allowing your team to work together on the same project, even if they're involved in different drill programs.

Building your workstreams

So, within each drill program, you’ve got the power to tailor workstreams to different drilling tasks (RC, DD, geotech, or even your own unique setup).

Just keep in mind, all users who are invited to the project for that site will need to work on the same data.
