A plod, short for ‘Progressive Log of Drilling’, is a form used to record the time, activities, consumables, people, and costs associated with drilling during a single shift of work. Learn more about 'Plods' here.

When setting up projects, you have the flexibility to choose what works best for you. Typically, our customers define a project as one or more prospects located within a neighbouring area or tenure boundary.

These projects can be used as a working area for various drilling operations, such as exploration, resource definition, and grade control.

You can organise your workstreams individually for each project or combine multiple workstreams into one. Alternatively, projects can also be defined based on team or organisational structure, allowing users to access relevant data with assigned permissions.

Each project can have multiple prospects and drilling programs, simplifying budgeting and work program management.

Mine sites running, exploration, development and production drilling programs would need to have these as separate projects.

CorePlan's default pricing is usage-based, typically calculated monthly based on the number of plods or shifts. With this model, you only pay for what you use.

Getting started with CorePlan is almost instantaneous. Once you sign up, our implementation team will guide you through the process. They'll configure your first project on your behalf and provide you with step-by-step instructions. Fully implementing your first project can be completed in as little as 2 to 3 weeks. However, for more advanced implementations involving integration into geological databases, the process may take longer.
